About the project

Since 2004 we have been registered as a language service provider for various European Union institutions. The texts cover different fields: law, economics, finance, judiciary, transport, ecology, agriculture, science, telecommunications, education, and more.

The EU texts are translated by a set team of 15 qualified and tested translators and proofreaders cooperating among each other and regularly taking part in further training. The translation tool used most often for this type of translation is SDL Trados.

Medical nomenclature — translation & proofreading
4,000+ pages

About the project

In 2008 a four-year contract was signed for the translation of the GMDN (single naming system of medical devices) project. The project concerned the translation of highly specialised medical texts, which is why we allocated it to three qualified experts – translators who completed their education in the medical field and had several years of translation experience.

The project involved the use of the Across translation software, which resulted in a higher quality translation, terminology consistency and cost-effectiveness. After having evaluated all translations, the client considered the Slovenian translation to be one of the best.

About the project

The project concerns sworn translations of various investment funds (equity, bond, index funds) and annual reports from English into Slovenian for a large bank owned by a foreign company.

Using translation software ensures that the client is provided with a high-quality, quick and cost-effective translation containing consistent terminology. The specialised financial vocabulary and sworn translation requirements demand expert translators with both linguistic and financial expertise.

About the project

The customer placed an order for a sworn translation of over 800 standard pages to be delivered in three copies, with a relatively short deadline a month later. Through their cooperation and adjustments of terminology, the sworn translation from Slovenian into English was done by a team of ten translators and three proofreaders, including lawyers and linguists.

Thanks to the excellent planning of the whole project and outstanding cooperation of all those involved, our project managers were able to deliver the project on time.

About the project

We have worked with Belimed since 2009. The tasks mostly consist of written translations of manuals for various products and machines, delivered across six target languages: Slovenian, Russian, English, Polish, Dutch, and French.

This project showcases our ability to manage multi-language workflows from a single contact point — exactly the kind of efficiency our clients value. Source materials arrive in English, German, or Slovenian, and we coordinate the entire translation pipeline across all target languages.

Questions about our projects and process

Learn more about how we manage large-scale translation projects and deliver consistent quality.

For large-volume projects, we assemble dedicated teams of qualified and tested translators and proofreaders who cooperate closely and regularly take part in further training. For example, our EU legislation project is handled by a set team of 15 specialists using SDL Trados, ensuring consistent terminology across over 20,000 pages.

We use a range of translation software depending on the project requirements. Our toolkit includes SDL Trados, Across, and project-specific tools such as the NEMO software. The choice of tool is driven by the client's needs, the project's complexity, and the file formats involved. Using CAT tools ensures terminology consistency and cost-effectiveness.

Absolutely. For specialised projects, we allocate qualified experts with relevant domain expertise. For the GMDN medical nomenclature project, we assigned three translators who completed their education in the medical field. After evaluation, the client considered our Slovenian translation to be one of the best delivered across all languages.

We have extensive experience managing projects with demanding deadlines. For our mobile phone localisation project, we deliver same-day translations three times per week. For our legal translation project, we assembled a team of ten translators and three proofreaders to deliver over 800 sworn pages within a month. Excellent planning and team coordination are key.

Yes. Several of our case studies involve sworn translations, including the investment fund translations for a major international bank and the legal documents for a telecommunications company. Our sworn translators are certified by the relevant authorities and deliver translations that meet all legal requirements.

This is one of our core strengths. The Belimed project is a perfect example: source materials in English, German, or Slovenian are translated into six target languages — Slovenian, Russian, English, Polish, Dutch, and French — all coordinated through a single contact point, saving the client significant project management time and costs.

We have been a registered language service provider for European Union institutions since 2004. In that time, we have translated over 20,000 pages of EU legislation and over 50,000 pages of trademark descriptions for the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union, covering all 22 official EU languages into Slovenian.

Our featured projects span EU legislation, medicine, technology, banking and finance, law, telecommunications, and technical documentation. However, our translator network covers virtually every industry, and we welcome projects from all sectors.
